Zigma Chemicals India Ltd. (part of Zigma group) consist of five manufacturing units for preparing Sodium Silicates (in cullet, liquid and powder form), Sodium Metasilicate Pentahydrate, Sodium Metasilicate Nanohydrate and Silica gel.

Over the years, the group has steadily expanded its product range and today we supply chemical raw materials to companies across a wide variety of industries globally. Our multi-product, large scale commercial operation functions with 5 manufacturing units spread across the industrial belt of West Bengal & Jharkhand.

These five units are independent plants with state-of-the-art equipment like furnaces, blenders, reactors, boilers, gasifier, thermic heater, along with storage facilities . We produce ~150 MTPD of Sodium Silicate Glass/ Cullet’s or ~375 MTPD of liquid Sodium Silicate Glass. We also have our own ball mills & crushers, grain mills & crushers for production of ~ 40 MTPD quartz grains, quartz powder, quartzite & feldspar. We have our own fleet of 14 trucks & tankers to transport the products in time & fulfilling the all aspects of QOTIF.

Mr. Sanjay Acherjee

Mr. Sanjay Acherjee is the Founder and Chairman of the Zigma Group. Mr. Acherjee, a first-generation entrepreneur, is driven by the core philosophy of infusing "Growth with Goodness" through his nation-building vision. Each of the Group's businesses focuses on helping build a better tomorrow. The Group aims to establish its footprint as a leading business unit in the sectors the group operates in.

Incorporated in 1995, Zigma Group started with the transportation sector. His zeal and dedication to nation building drove him to diversify the Group’s presence into various sectors, mainly into Chemicals & specifically to Sodium Silicate and its allied products. Today, 5 manufacturing units produce 4500 MT of Sodium Silicate & allied products per month.

Manufacturing unit of Zigma Chemicals India Ltd. houses state-of-the-art technology capable of producing ~125 MTPD output through a fully automated Gasifier furnace.

Mr. Acherjee Completed his graduation from Institute of Automotive Engineers before venturing to entrepreneurship.

Mr. Samrat Bhattacharjee

Mr. Samrat Bhattacharjee is the CEO of Zigma Chemicals India Ltd. He is an industry stalwart & a subject matter expert on Supply chain management/ Procurement field with nearly 25 years of experience in wide and varied industries. He has worked & led companies across geographies in the field of Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, SCM, Logistics, CSM, Business Development, Operations & Strategy, Manufacturing and Management consulting. He has a track record of delivering results under dynamic scenarios in each fields.

In the past, He has led a German Telecom company as MD & Regional Procurement Head (APAC) for 7 years and headed a Spanish Engineering Consultancy as Country Director for 3 countries for 4+ years. He is an ex PwC, Nalco, Pepsi, Blue Star, Govt of West Bengal apart from other organizations.

Mr. Bhattacharjee has done his Post Graduate Programme in Supply Chain Management from IIM Calcutta, Graduation in Mechanical Engineering with Honours & Post graduation in Business Administration with Marketing as Major & Systems as minor from University of Calcutta. He has also done Diploma in Materials Management. He is a Member of Indian Institute of Materials Management, an unit of IFPSM-International Federation of Purchasing & supply management, organization Registered in Aarau, Switzerland.

Mr. S. P. Kabiraj

Mr. S.P Kabiraj is an advisor to the Zigma team. Mr Kabiraj is a visionary and a respectable veteran of industry, there are hardly people from CHA’s who don’t know him or vouch for him.

He has more than 3 decades of experiences in Supply Chain emphasizing more on export & import of materials specially the chemicals. He has led independently with his team to work with many plants & companies across length & breadth of India to clear cargos & to export them. Mr. Kabiraj is has also done consultancy on EXIM with prestigious clients and freelancers. He has also ventured with US MNC on manufacturing & warehousing to optimize the costs & efforts for the company. He has helped lot of prestigious US & European client’s help clear cargo with ease with his immense knowledge on the subject.

Mr. Kabiraj is Graduate from University of Calcutta and also a certificate holder of CHA license.
